Offered free of charge as part of the PDF Studio suite of tools, PDF Studio Viewer is a nice-looking and useful PDF reading and annotation tool suitable for all kinds of users. This utility will allow you to not only view and read your PDF documents, but also to add annotations, highlight text, draw shapes, add sticky notes, search for text, rotate pages, and some other few useful utilities.
This alternative to Adobe’s free PDF Reader DC offers very similar functionality but wrapped up in an Office-like ribbon-based interface. Documents can be displayed in various ways (fit to page, fit to width, etc.) and the text can be zoomed in and out at will. You can view a single page or various pages at once, and move around the document using bookmarks, the table of contents, or the thumbnails provided. Besides, you can invert the colors of the page, a feature that some persons with certain visual impairments will find very useful.
As it happens with Adobe Reader DC, this PDF viewer includes no real PDF editing features – thus, you cannot change the existing text, extract the images, or change the true contents of the original file in any way. However, PDF Studio Viewer offers you tools to annotate and add comments to your PDFs, such as a “typewriter” (for you to add text annotations on top of existing text and images), a tool to highlight text marking it up in various ways, a sticky note feature to add post-its to your pages, callouts, as well as arrows and shapes to point at or frame a specific element of the PDF file. more
